This past Monday, May 20 was an extremely exciting day for ArtsEmerson! Not only did we announce our 10th Anniversary Season and unveil our new brand, but a number of productions from our 2018/19 Season were honored at the 37th Annual Elliot Norton Awards.
We are thrilled to announce that Manual Cinema’s The End of TV (sound design by Kyle Vegter, puppets by Lizi Breit with associate puppet designer and storyboard artist Drew Dir, costumes by Mieka Van Der Ploeg, lighting by Claire Chrzan with associate Shelbi Arndt, masks by Julia Vanarsdale Miller) took home the award for Outstanding Design, Large or Visiting Theater! This production was a technical masterpiece, combining live-action silhouettes, video feeds, overhead projections, and a live band performing an original score.
In addition, Measure for Measure (Cheek by Jowl and Pushkin Theatre Moscow) won the Elliot Norton for Outstanding Visiting Production!
Congratulations to all Elliot Norton winners! Check out the full list here.
